Muay Thai, also known as Thai Boxing, is a traditional martial art which was developed centuries ago by the Thai as ancient battlefield tactics used by the Siamese. Nowadays Thai Boxing is a martial art and combat sport that uses stand up striking and various clinching techniques. The discipline is known as “The art of the 8 limbs” with its allowance to use legs, knees, fists and elbows. The hard-hitting, spectacular techniques it employs are winning an ever increasing fan base due to its strong presence in combat sport. Known for their hard core training techniques, Muay Thai is a great way to get in shape, and learn to use all your limbs in order to defeat an opponent. By allowing you to use your whole body for attacks it allows for a diverse skill set range and an ability to hit an opponent from many methods.

Jiu Jitsu origins can arguably be traced to Buddhist monks of India, or even back to the earliest forms of grappling which was immortalized on the walls of both ancient Greek and Egyptian ruins. Jiu Jitsu (sometimes referred to as “Ju Jitsu”) in its modern form comes from Japan. Jiu Jitsu was the battlefield art of the Samurai of Japan. It has now moved across the world, with a popular form coming in Brazilian Jui Jitsu, however the roots of the art stem from Japan.
Jui Jitsu is one of the earliest martial arts to be taught, and is focused on sophisticated grappling techniques to take down an opponent. The actual definition is “Gentle Art” using the principles of leverage, angles, pressure and timing, as well as knowledge of the human anatomy. Through a combination of dynamic and explosive movements with pressure based pushing, holding and pulling, makes Jui Jitsu a great way to increase strength, heighten your body awareness, promote weight loss, build muscle tone, as well as improve balance and reaction times! Jiu Jitsu was designed and developed specifically so a smaller, weaker person, can defend themselves or even defeat much larger and stronger opponents. Its techniques and benefits can be seen first hand, and with practice brings confidence to any practitioner regardless of age, size, or gender.

The history of Krav Maga can be traced back to Bratislava, Slovakia where a man named Imi Lichtenfeld developed a system to help defend Jewish neighborhoods from anti semetic riots in Bratislava. With his father being a self defense trainer himself, he developed his skills in boxing, wrestling, gymnastics, judo, karate and other forms. Eventually, he was tasked to create a revolutionary defense system for the Israeli military and that is where Krav Maga was born.
They say know your enemy… so Krav Maga was created to focus on real world situations and extreme efficiency. The techniques are used for real life situations and to end the confrontation fast! It is known for its combination of styles and is focused on aggressive techniques to finish a fight as quickly as possible.

The history of Qi Gong dates back about 5000 years to the Han Dyansty. There were many terms for such exercise including, xing-qi (promoting the circulation of qi), fu-qi (taking qi), tui-na (exhaling and inhaling), zuo chan (sitting in meditation), dao yin (guiding the energy flow), yang shen (nourishing the spirit), jing zuo (sitting still). A combination of these elements were developed, where the term Qi Gong became widely known for these form of exercises and meditations.
Qi Gong originated as a form of “remedy dancing” created for healing purposes. Overall it is used a form in various ways including for medical purposes, reaching enlightenment, stress preservation, liberation of mind, high moral character and intelligence, and training as a martial art for protection.
